The Koojan Downs Feedlot project was undertaken for Harvest Group, with Kotzur as the client. Located in Yathroo, WA, the project focused on enhancing the safety and accessibility of the feedlot’s infrastructure.

The scope of work involved the supply, fabrication, and installation of galvanised steel walkway platforms atop the existing feed silos. These platforms provide safe service access to the screw conveyors connecting the silos, ensuring ongoing efficiency and safety for operations.

Installation was carried out by Phil and Anthony from Rollwell, who successfully completed the works with the use of a crane for the 21-metre-high lift, supported by a qualified dogman. Their expertise ensured the job was executed smoothly and with precision.

The outcome was highly successful, with Phil and Anthony delivering the installation within the client’s requested timeframe while minimising operational disruptions. Their proactive approach meant that feedlot operations continued without interruption, even when minor design oversights arose. They adapted quickly to these challenges, ensuring the project stayed on track. This was an excellent effort by all involved and a testament to the team’s capability and commitment.
