Indigenous Engagement
At Rollwell Engineering, we are committed to building a more inclusive and diverse workforce by actively supporting the participation of Indigenous Australians in the engineering, fabrication, and construction industries.
We proudly partner with Yura Yarta, a majority Indigenous-owned organisation focused on creating career pathways, mentorship, and long-term employment opportunities for Indigenous people across Australia.
Creating Real Pathways for Indigenous Participation in Engineering & Fabrication.
Our Partnership with Yura Yarta

Yura Yarta is a values-aligned partner working to connect skilled Indigenous workers with meaningful career opportunities in industry. Through this partnership, Rollwell benefits from access to a network of job-ready apprentices, tradespeople, and trainees who bring knowledge, culture, and capability to our workforce.
Laurie Gibson, a Director of Yura Yarta in WA and a proud Noongar man, plays an active role as a mentor, supporting the personal and professional development of Indigenous team members within our business.

Making a Real Impact
We currently have two Indigenous employees working at Rollwell and are committed to growing that number as new roles become available.
We believe in long-term engagement, offering mentoring, on-the-job experience, and career development opportunities that lead to lasting change.

Rebecca Groenink
Assistant Office Manager
I joined Rollwell in August 2024 after coming across a role that perfectly aligned with my experience. In March 2025, I transitioned to Yura after connecting with Laurie on site. Having worked alongside Indigenous professionals throughout much of my corporate career, I was excited to be part of that environment again. Since starting at Rollwell, I’ve also begun my Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting, which I’m aiming to complete by early 2026.

Darryl Eades
2nd Year Boilermaker Apprentice
I joined Rollwell in April 2025 with a strong drive to complete my apprenticeship. Since then, I’ve felt genuinely supported by both the Rollwell team and Yura Yarta, especially Laurie. It’s been a great environment for continuing my training and working towards my goals.
